Objective:

complete notes and an activity in order to understand how Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium is established and what assumptions and conditions are necessary to reach Equilibrium.

Warm Up:
  • Read the Case Study on Pages 478 - 479 and summarize the findings of this case.  A bulleted list is acceptable.
  • Next, relate it to one of the terms we've discussed in class. 
  • What was the cause for the reduction of alleles per locus?  Be prepared to defend your response.
  • What solution was devised to address the identified problem and what was the impact of this solution?
