WARM UP #

Objective:
Students will . . .
design an experiment in order to test other factors that affect hatching viability of brine shrimp.

Warm Up:
  • Define the following:
    • microevolution
    • genetic variation
    • cline
Classwork:
  1. Review WUP
  2. Collect Warm Up Journals
  3. Happy birthday!!
  4. Collect Bird Beak Adaptation Lab
  5. Announce Root Word Quiz - first 15 words (next Thursday)
  6. Notes:  Ch. 23
  7. Any lab work that needs to be completed prior to Wednesday's set up
  8. Work on Mini-Poster (cutting, pasting, lamination)
  9. Computer Access
    1. Enroll in Mastering Biology with access code:                              SSNAST-CLXII-BLAND-HENNA-TOPAZ-MILES
Homework:
  • Over the weekend, begin reading Ch. 23 (notes)
  • Continue working on Natural Selection Lab
  • Research the Nemoria arizonaria and research the following:
  • the differences in phenotypic expression between the two variants we saw in class.
  • Where is it located
  • explain the phenomenon of seasonal dimorphism
